This most recent addition to the dysfunctional family genre manages to keep things somewhat light-hearted despite the weighty issues it addresses. It ends up being a lot of fun to watch.

This is one of the dumbest movies I've ever seen. I think there may have been a plot, but it was hard to find, as the movie is made up entirely of loosely connected scenes chosen not for any kind of narrative flow but for their individual humor value. Which is great because this movie is hilarious.

Special Edition, Widescreen, Flair, not the UMD version everyone's been liking. Yes, I like this.
Great movie, too.

Family Guy has some of the funniest TV moments ever. Unfortunately, not too many made them into this movie, which I believe was cobbled together from an un-aired two-part episode. Still, it's more Family Guy. How could you pass it up?

I can't believe this ended up being so much better than Studio 60, but it happened. This is currently the best comedy on TV.

I got one thing out of this movie: Will Ferrell, the actor not his character, has to die.

Movie about a group of preppy guys who kidnap mob boss Christopher Walken. It doesn't quite have the energy of contemporary films like Lock Stock and Boondock Saints, which is probably why those are cult classics and this one is mostly forgotten.
But come on, preppy guys kidnap mob boss Christopher Walken! What more do you want?

Casino Royale (1967) [DVD, Widescreen]

I approached this movie aware that the humor would be a little dated. But it was directed by John Huston and has a truly incredible cast (Peter Sellers, David Niven, Orson Welles, Woody Allen, Ursula Andress, other 60's people I haven't heard of).
And that doesn't matter. This movie is terrible. The humor's not just dated. It's not present. The plot isn't quirky and silly; it's just bad. Do not bother with this movie. Watch the new Daniel Craig Casino Royale and forget that this version ever existed.
