If you've only listened to Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall, go out and get Meddle. Very slick guitar riffs, simple and distinctly distinct Pink Floyd, before the Water/Gilmore creative differences that came in the later. You'll hear the jams and the roots of the epic albums that were to come.

Martin Scorsese Presents the Blues: Robert Johnson

My review
Robert Johnson is probably the most influencial guitar/blues player of all time. Modern day rock and roll has its roots in the chords of his Missippi Delta influences. The recordings, typically done in back rooms and offices - not recording studies, are audio time capsules of a time when music was the art of discovery, not the concoction of producers.
